Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art museum that opened in the capital of the United Arab Emirates in 2017. The museum's collection encompasses works from various eras and cultures, including works by Leonardo da Vinci and his famous painting "Salvator Mundi," as well as masterpieces by Picasso, Gauguin, Manet, Magritte, and Bellini.
The museum is located on Saadiyat Island, which will also house a branch of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Sheikh Zayed National Museum of History.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi's architecture features numerous water channels and a striking openwork dome. This design creates the impression that visitors are standing outdoors in the sea. The building's total floor area is approximately 24,000 square meters.
