Arrowhead Stadium is located in Kansas City, Missouri, and is the home of the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs. The stadium opened on August 12, 1972. Over the years, it has undergone several renovations and expansions. Currently, since 2010, the arena can accommodate up to 76,416 spectators. From 1996 to 2007, the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer also played their home games there.
This stadium is known as one of the noisiest in the NFL. The roar from the stands often makes it difficult for visiting teams to execute plays. In September 2014, Arrowhead Stadium set a record for fan noiseβan impressive 142.2 dB, as recorded by Guinness World Records.
In 2026, the stadium will be one of eleven arenas in the United States that will host matches of the FIFA World Cup.
