Gillette Stadium is located in Foxborough, southwest of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. It is the home of the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL) and the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer (MLS). The stadium was built on the site of the old Foxborough Stadium.
The arena was originally known as CMGI Field. In 2000, internet company CMGI acquired the naming rights to the stadium, planning to pay $7.6 million annually for 15 years. However, after the dot-com crash, the rights were purchased by Gillette Co., and in August 2002, the stadium was renamed Gillette Stadium. In September 2010, Gillette extended its naming rights to the stadium through the 2031 season.
