MetLife Stadium is located in East Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA, and is part of the New York City metropolitan area. Opened in 2010, it replaced the old Giants Stadium and became the new home of the National Football League (NFL) teams, the New York Giants and New York Jets. These teams are co-owners of the stadium, dividing it equally and managing it through a joint venture, the New Meadowlands Stadium Company. In 2011, MetLife acquired the naming rights to the arena.
This grandiose facility cost $1.6 billion to build, making it the most expensive stadium on the planet. It has the second-largest capacity among all NFL stadiums.
