NRG Stadium, formerly known as Reliant Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports complex located in Houston, Texas, United States. The stadium can accommodate over 71,000 spectators for football matches. It opened on August 24, 2002, becoming the first National Football League (NFL) stadium with a retractable roof. It is home to the NFL's Houston Texans. The stadium has hosted numerous international football matches, including games involving the United States national team. It also frequently hosts rodeos and agricultural exhibitions.

In 2000, Reliant Energy acquired the naming rights to the complex for $300 million for a 32-year term. Subsequently, in 2009, Reliant Energy was acquired by NRG Energy, and the stadium's name was changed to its current name.

The stadium has hosted many significant events, including Super Bowl XXXVIII on February 1, 2004, and WrestleMania XXV on April 5, 2009. NRG Stadium also hosted Super Bowl LI on February 5, 2017.

In 2026, NRG Stadium will be one of eleven arenas in the United States to host matches of the FIFA World Cup.
