The RCF Arena is Europe's largest concert venue, located near the small town of Reggio Emilia, on the site of the former Campovolo Airport, and can accommodate up to 103,000 spectators. The venue's greatest asset is its sound. The arena is powered by 410 RCF loudspeakers, designed and manufactured in Italy. To give you an idea of ββthe sound system's power, its speakers consume approximately two megawatts of electricity.
The Arena's opening was marked by a major concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of the musical career of Italian artist Luciano Ligabue. He had previously performed here when the site was still the Campovolo Airport. In 2015, Ligabue set a European record by attracting 150,000 fans to his solo performance, for which the RCF systems were specially adapted with red cabinet elements.
The RCF Arena is designed for musical concerts and other events. The venue is divided into five zones to ensure optimal visibility and high-quality sound. These zones are covered in grass and have a 5% slope, allowing spectators in the back rows to have an excellent view of the action on stage.
