Alexey Georgievich Chumakov is a Russian singer, composer, TV presenter, and actor, born on March 12, 1981, in Samarkand, which was then part of the Uzbek SSR. His father worked as an artistic designer, and his mother was a physiotherapist. From a young age, Alexey showed an interest in music: he attended a music school where he learned to play percussion instruments, wrote songs, and performed at school events. In addition to music, Alexey was passionate about sports, including basketball and kickboxing. In the early 1990s, his family had to move to Tyumen due to ethnic conflicts. In Tyumen, Alexey enrolled in an arts college and later continued his music education in Tashkent.
The beginning of his career was challenging: he performed in various venues like restaurants and bars while independently creating music and arrangements. Alexey actively participated in regional music competitions and won projects such as "Voice of Europa Plus" and "Step." In 2003, he moved to Moscow and took third place in the reality show "People's Artist," gaining popularity among the listeners of the radio station "Europa Plus." From that point, his career took off: he became a well-known singer and TV host, leading projects like "Factor A" and "Who is on Top?". Additionally, Alexey writes books and acts in series and films. He is married to singer Yulia Kovalchuk, and they have two daughters.
