The Democratic Republic of the Congo national football team represents the country internationally in football competitions and matches. The team is governed by the Congolese Football Federation. Previously, when the country was known as Zaire (from 1971 to 1997), the team was also known as the Zaire national team. The team's only appearance in the World Cup was in 1974.
The team has won the African Cup of Nations twice, achieving success in 1968 and 1974.
