Ghana national football team

Ghana's national team represents its football interests on the international stage, participating in various competitions and matches. The team is governed by the Ghana Football Association. Until 1957, the team played under the name of the Gold Coast team. Throughout its history, it has won the African Cup of Nations four times.

The Ghanaian national team celebrated its first triumph in this prestigious tournament in 1963, when the competition was hosted on Ghanaian soil. Two years later, in 1965, the team won the trophy again. Ghana reached the pinnacle of African football for the third time in 1978. Its last African Cup of Nations victory was in 1982.
