Iran national football team

The Iran national football team, also known as the Iran national football team, represents the country internationally in tournaments and matches. The team is governed and coordinated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation, which was established in 1920. In 1945, the federation became part of FIFA, and since 1954, it has been a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It is also a member of the Federation of Football Associations of Central Asia (FACA). The Iran national team has established itself as one of the leading teams on the Asian continent. The team primarily plays its home games at Azadi Stadium, located in the capital, Tehran.
