Jordan national football team

Jordan is represented in international football by its national team, governed by the Jordan Football Association. The team has achieved significant success, reaching its first AFC Asian Cup final in 2024. A historic event occurred on June 5, 2025, when the team qualified for the World Cup for the first time. As of July 10, 2025, the team is ranked 64th in the FIFA World Cup rankings.

The 2023 AFC Asian Cup was a true triumph for the Jordanian national team on the international stage. For the first time in their history, the team reached the final of the tournament. They finished third in the group stage but advanced to the playoffs after finishing among the four best third-placed teams. In the knockout round, Jordan defeated Iraq 3-2 in the Round of 16, beat Tajikistan 1-0 in the quarterfinals, and then sensationally defeated South Korea 2-0 in the semifinals.
