Kanye West

Ye (born Kanye Omari West) is an American rapper, producer, songwriter, audio engineer, designer, and former billionaire. He is best known by his stage name Kanye West. He spent his childhood and youth in Chicago, where he developed an early interest in music.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made a name for himself as a music producer, working with artists such as Jay-Z, Ludacris, Talib Kweli, and Alicia Keys. After dropping out of college to pursue a career in music, he focused on rap and released his debut album, The College Dropout, in 2004. Successful releases followed: Late Registration (2005), Graduation (2007), 808s & Heartbreak (2008), My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010), a collaboration with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne (2011), as well as Yeezus (2013), The Life of Pablo (2016), Ye (2018), a collaboration with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts (2018), Jesus Is King (2019), Donda (2021), and its sequel (2022). In 2024, Ye released collaborative albums with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures 1 and Vultures 2.

Throughout his career, Ye has received widespread critical acclaim and is often cited among the greatest artists of the 21st century. He is among the most successful artists in terms of sales, with albums and singles selling over 121 million copies worldwide. He has won 24 Grammy Awards, making him one of the most decorated musicians and a record-breaking hip-hop artist. His work is regularly included in lists of the best albums of all time, including Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. He has also appeared on numerous Forbes magazine lists and has twice been included in Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
