Valery Gergiev

Valery Abisalovich Gergiev is an outstanding conductor from the USSR and Russia, who has headed the Mariinsky Theatre as artistic director and general Director since 1988. In 2023, he also became the general director of the Bolshoi Theatre. In 1996, he became a People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
